The Present Day Had Passed
As an empty shell, I lay to waste. A hollow carcass laying abroad on the shore leave. My ship is landed; And now it lay abandoned. Urging to receive the love that it had coming; and praying that maybe you will return to love me unbecoming; and undeserving of your love, I cannot stand on this shallow ground. My life has run ashore; For the one I loved, and the one I adore, have left me to rot. To grow old in shadow of I; And to let myself crawl back to you, would be the one mistake worth the taking. You may keep me squirming in the fist you clench so tightly; But far into my beating heart I will accept the spite that you’ve given me. As much as you’ve disposed of my being, and as much as I accept the hands in which I abide, I cannot help but to wonder. Is this all? What have I got to live for past the present? If you are who you claim to be, then step up. Step up and claim your one true love. Step up and claim me.
